Carolina Arentsen
Carolina Arentsen was born in Santiago Chile and grew up in Villanova, PA.
Influenced by art from her world travels in childhood, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a BFA in illustration in 1991. She and a fellow student from Estonia started a design company that does web design, package design, identity, illustration and animation. Among her many clients are Medical World Communications, Liturgy Training Publication, America Magazine and St. Anthony Messenger Press.
Stephanie Dalton Cowan
A photographer and graphic designer for 20 years, Stephanie now works in the
creative field as a professional illustrator and fine artist. She has
created images for clients such as Showtime Networks, Newsweek, Business
Week, The Boston Globe, Simon and Schuster, Random House and Coca-Cola USA.
She is the recipient of many regional/national awards and is a member of
Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of American Artists.
Gena Deeds-Page
Gena Deeds-Page is as gifted an illustrator as she is a fine artist. Her highly original conceptualizations of religious topics have appeared in Discoveries, Brigade Leader, and My Family. Her painting, "The Arrival of the King" was featured in the May 1999 issue of Christianity and the Arts to illustrate the theme of "Christ as Priest".
Ms. Deeds-Page resides in Texas and received her BFA from Hardin-Simmons University in 1982. She has exhibited in several shows at the Hardin Simmons University, and her national juried shows include the "Sacred Arts Exhibition" at the Billy Graham Center Museum (Wheaton College) and "Face the Light" at Gallery Latreuo (Jacksonville, Florida). Her paintings can be seen at The Canaan Gallery in Centennial, Colorado, and The Biblical Arts Center Museum in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to being a skilled portrait artist, she has one painting, "Found", as a limited-edition print. Her ability to creatively interpret themes makes her ideal for commissioned work.
Renee Dumont
Artist Renee Dumont was born in 1961 in Blackstone Massachusetts. She has been painting and drawing from a very early age and credits her interest in art to her encouraging mother. She studied at the Worcester Museum of Art, and has produced work for city officials, national organizations, and the US. Government.
Ms. Dumont now works in her home studio, working from life, sketches, and photographs. She strives to engage her audience with composition, color, and emotion, and to suffuse her paintings with light. She draws us into her work by focusing on imagery that conveys a depth of feeling and evokes a strong emotional response.
Christine Simoneau-Hales
Christine Simoneau Hales studied art and painting at Mass. Art in Boston, and the Art Students League in NYC. She is a contemporary American painter and has maintained a working studio for over thirty-five years. She currently teaches iconography in her Philmont, New York studio. "As windows into heaven, the icons are relevant for Christians of any denomination. They are meant to be Holy Scripture in visual form."
Regina Kubelka
Regina Kubelka is a published illustrator working in various mediums such as watercolor, digital and mixed media. Her work has appeared in several magazines and advertising design publications. She has a BFA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in Denver, Colorado and also completed studies in Advertising Art at Texas State Technical College. Currently she resides in Austin, Texas where she spends time with family and friends and manages her own design and illustration business. Regina also has a love for writing and pursues a goal of illustrating children's books.
Julie Lonneman
Cincinnati artist Julie Lonneman has employed her talents in service to the Church since 1978, first as an art director and graphic designer, and now as a freelance illustrator. Her work graces the covers of many books and newsletters, and regularly appears in magazines such as America, Sojourners, and St. Anthony Messenger. She is the author of Clip Art for Sundays and Solemnities, published in 2003 by Liturgy Training Publications of Chicago. Nicholas Markell
Nicholas Markell has over twenty years experience in creating ecclesiastic and spiritual art. With a BA in Fine Art from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Nicholas received his MA in Sacred Theology and MDiv. from the Washington Theological Union in Washington, DC. He is the founder of Markell Studios. Nationally recognized, Nicholas has received numerous accolades and awards in his career, most notably those given by the Washington Building Congress, PRINT Publications and Ministry and Liturgy magazine. He was chosen as the principal artist for Evangelical Lutheran Worship, the chief liturgical book for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. A master iconographer, Nicholas instructs and lectures on the Sacred Art of Christian iconography.
Janet McKenzie
Vermont artist Janet McKenzie pays homage to the feminine figure through sacred and secular imagery. Ms. McKenzie's paintings depict an inner strength that often both challenge and comfort the viewer. Her work is collected and exhibited around the world.
In 2000 Ms. McKenzie's image of Jesus, "Jesus of the People," was selected winner of the National Catholic Reporter's "Jesus 2000" competition by Sister Wendy Beckett. Her work has appeared on many prominent magazines, both in the United States and internationally. She has recently completed a new body of work, "African American Women Celebrated".
Jane E. Pitz
Jane lives and works in South Bend Indiana. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an MFA in visual arts. Most of her commissioned work is in the genre of religious/liturgical art. In the twelve years she has been working in this area, she has had as clients: Ave Maria Press, Liturgy Training Publications, World Library Publications-J.S.Paluch, St. Anthony Publications, Augsburg-Fortress Publications, Sheed and Ward, and University of Notre Dame Press. Her art work is created directly on the computer using Painter and Photoshop software. A Wacom tablet makes it all possible!
Jerry Sodorff
Art has been a strong interest of Jerry Sodorff since the age of 10. In high school he focused on graphic design, drafting and architecture. While studying architecture at the University of Oregon his love for photography exploded. Instead of submitting an assignment of texture studies he turned in a portfolio of black and white images of textures. Over the next 33 years, he has seldom been without his camera. In the last two years, he has converted to shooting digital images exclusively. Jerry is gifted with the ability to "see" things before they become reality, whether a building, a room or an image. His advice to others: "Look at life from all angles." Clients include: Custer Road United Methodist church, Provine Studios, Vogel Furniture, AMLI Residential Communities, IRS, and Tanner Creative.
Ned Stern
Ned Stern studied Fine Art at The American University, graduating in 1961. He studied under Sarah Baker, a student of Impressionist Pierre Bonnard. This lineage was passed on to Stern. He has painted since graduation and has taught drawing at the Universities of Michigan and Cincinnati.
"My work, which is about life's journey, is constantly evolving and changing. The challenge comes from pushing myself into areas involving risk and failure as well as surprise and success".
Mr. Stern has had one person shows in Virginia, Michigan, Ohio, Rhode Island, Canada and California.
Billy Renkl
Billy Renkl grew up in Alabama and currently teaches illustration at a state university in Tennessee. He has an undergraduate degree in illustration and a Masters in drawing. Recent clients for his collage illustrations include Vanderbilt University, Klutz Inc., and SouthWest Airlines. His work is largely constructed with antique papers and printed materials.
Ann Segal
Ann Segal has been a professional photographer for fifteen years. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she attended the University of Wisconsin, and graduated from Boston University in 1970 with a degree in Fine Arts. She began working as a photographer while living in Marin County, California, and returned to Cincinnati ten years ago, where she currently has a home and studio.

M.P. Wiggins
Paula Wiggins graduated from DAAP, University of Cincinnati and later attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati to study graphic design and illustration. Her paintings and drawings have been shown in exhibitions and galleries around the world, from the Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago to Heim und Handwerk in Munich, Germany. In addition to private collectors, her work is included in the corporate collections of Proctor and Gamble, La Rosa's, and Victory Wholesale Warehouse. Recent illustration projects include a calendar for the Louisville Symphony Orchestra, promotional material for the ARC Chamber Ensemble and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and the poster for the Underground Railroad Freedom Center ground breaking.
